The long awaited third round of the Countryside Productivity Small Grant Scheme is now open offering grant funding of between £3,000 – £12,000 for farmers purchasing equipment to improve productivity and efficiency.

The grant scheme provides a list of eligible items and assigns each eligible item a ‘standard cost’. The grant paid is then based on 40% of the standard cost rather than the actual cost you pay for the item. The items purchased must be new and items cannot be purchased until you have been offered the grant.

The list of eligible items is extensive and includes items such as:

  • Mobile and fixed cattle handling systems
  • Cattle crushes
  • Mobile and fixed sheep handling systems
  • Electronic weigh systems
  • GPS systems
  • Direct drill 3m
  • Cover crop roller (3 or 6m)
  • Dribble bar
  • Grassland sward lifters

For a full list of the eligible items then please contact us.

Farmers who have previously applied are still able to make an application under the third round provided they do not exceed the schemes limit of £12,000 of grant funding.

The application window is now open and closes on the 4th November 2020. For further information or if you would like assistance in making an application then please contact Mike Cluley or Ellen Cottrell on 01684 853400 or by email mikecluley@carverknowles.co.uk / ellencottrell@carverknowles.co.uk.
