With a wide range of grants available it can be a daunting process finding the right one for you. Together with our technical knowledge and previous experience we can guide you through the whole process from expressing an interest to the final claim.

Grants – Available in England


Countryside Stewardship Capital Grants

Priorities Deadline Funding 
Funding towards items benefiting the environment, 4 areas of funding:

  • Boundaries, trees and orchards
  • Water quality
  • Air quality
  • Natural Flood Management

Catchment Sensitive Farming endorsement available to all farms in high or medium priority areas

  • Opening in July 2026
 

Group Funding limit
Air quality £25,000 maximum
Boundaries, trees and orchards £35,000 maximum
Natural flood management £25,000 maximum
Water quality £25,000 maximum

Some items require Catchment Sensitive Farming endorsement.

Countryside Stewardship

Priorities Deadline Funding 
Financial incentives to help farmers protect wildlife, create new habitats and reduce flood risk.

You can apply for either:

Catchment Sensitive Farming endorsement available to all farms in high or medium priority areas

  • Annual declarations are currently available and must be completed by the 15th May 2026.
  • Unlimited funding for capital items.
  • Some items require Catchment Sensitive Farming endorsement.

Sustainable Farming Incentive

Priorities Deadline Funding 
Reward environmentally sustainable land management actions that all farmers can do.

Three standards currently available 

Six new standards opening Summer 2023

  • Open for all BPS recipients in 2022
  • Expands to all farmers in 2024
Arable and Horticultural Soils Standard Introductory level – £22 / ha      Intermediate level – £40 / ha

Improved Grassland Soils Standard Introductory level – £28 / ha      Intermediate level – £58 / ha

England Woodland Creation Offer

Priorities Deadline Funding 
Funding for planting and maintaining new woodlands. Minimum area of woodland planting is 1 ha.
  •  Open all year round. Criteria based competitive scheme
Up to £13,000 / ha

Severn Trent Environmental Protection Scheme (STEPS)

Priorities Deadline Funding 
Grants available for capital investment that protects water quality and enhances biodiversity on farms.

Farming Equipment and Technology Fund

The Farming Equipment and Technology Fund Fund provides grants to improve productivity and bring environmental benefits.

Priorities Deadline Funding 
The Farming Equipment and Technology Fund is split into three themes;

Improve productivity

Manage slurry

Animal Health and Welfare Items

  • Open until 28th April 2026
If your application is successful, you’ll receive a grant of:

  • a minimum of £1,000 and a maximum of £25,000 towards productivity items
  • a minimum of £1,000 and a maximum of £25,000 towards slurry items
  • a minimum of £1,000 and a maximum of £25,000 towards animal health and welfare items
