Carver Knowles are delighted to offer approximately 187 acres (75 ha) of predominantly permanent grassland to let on an annual grazing/mowing licence basis. The land is split into three blocks which are available either on their own or together:
- Land at Colgate Farm (approx. GL54 4EZ) – 65.33 acres/26.44 ha
- Land at New Barn Farm (approx. GL54 4LN) – 15.88 acres/6.43 ha
- Land at Sandywell Park & Hobbit Farm (approx. GL54 4HF) – 106.14 acres/42.96 ha
Colgate Farm is located nearer to Cheltenham whereas New Barn Farm and Sandywell Park & Hobbit Farm are located nearer to Andoversford.
The land is certified as Organic through the Soil Association and is within a Mid-Tier Countryside Stewardship Scheme. The Licensee will be required to adhere to cross compliance at all times to not affect the Licensor’s BPS or Stewardship claim. Full details of the Mid-Tier scheme and management requirements are available on request.
Ideally the Licensee will be certified as Organic themselves however this is not absolutely necessary. The land may appeal to those looking to convert to Organic. Alternatively the land may be available for the grazing of non-organic livestock for up to 120 days per calendar year. All enquiries are welcomed. In addition to the land, there are farm buildings also potentially available via separate negotiation.
The land is being offered at an asking Licence Fee of £50/acre.
