Funding is available for items that support tree and hedgerow planting, boundary restoration, natural flood management and improvements to air and water quality.
The 2026 offer retains the same spending limits as 2025:
| Group | Funding Limit | Item |
| Water Quality | £25,000 | Fencing and livestock troughs |
| Air Quality | £25,000 | Automatic slurry scraper |
| Natural Flood Management | £25,000 | Leaky woody dams and create or restore ponds |
| Boundaries, Trees and Orchards | £35,000 | Plant new hedges and tree surgery |
Only one application can be submitted per SBI, per calendar year.
To maximise the chance of a successful application:
- Check RPA contact details, permissions and maps are up to date
- Draft agreements and prepare supporting information
- Claim existing Capital Grants to prevent conflict with a new agreement
- Review cash flow, as grants are paid after work is completed
- Liaise with Landlords on behalf of tenant farmers to ascertain whether consent is required
We expect there to be a high demand for funding. Please do not delay and contact Chris or Hettie if you are interested in applying for a Capital Grant agreement.
