Carver Knowles have acted on behalf of a local dairy farmer to seek planning consent for the change of use of some redundant dairy buildings into a modern racing yard, complete with warm up arena and all weather gallops.

This diversification project will provide a stable income (if you excuse the pun) and a better return on investment than most rental properties. During these times of difficulty in the dairy sector these new enterprises can smooth out some of the dips.

Malvern Hills District Council Planning department considered this development a major application and as such numerous additional techincal reports were undertaken and commissioned by Carver Knowles on behalf of the client.

The hard work paid off when planning was granted, subject to conditions, at a committee meeting just before the Christmas break. We are now working to discharge the planning conditions so work on the new access, gallops and stables can commence.

If you have a diversification project in mind, or redundant buildings that would be suitable for alternative uses call Julie Branfield on 01684 853404.
