Today, the Capital Grants offer officially reopened with £150 million in funding to support environmental improvements on rural land, from planting hedgerows to managing water quality and restoring habitats.
New for this round:
- Woodland condition assessments
- Wildfire risk checklists
- Dry-stone wall repairs
- Educational countryside visits
There are 78 grant items in total—grouped into air quality, water quality, boundaries, assessments, flood management & improvements. Applications can be submitted year-round. One grant per SBI per calendar year.
Funding limits apply to 4 groups and any of the items within the groups can be applied for
- £25,000 for each of – water quality, air quality and natural flood management
- £35,000 for boundaries, trees and orchards

Demand is expected to be high, we would advise you to apply early to secure funding before this round closes.
