Growth program for the rural economy providing grants to small rural businesses.

What is the growth programme?

In a nutshell, it provides funding to help projects in England which create jobs and help rural economy growth.  The grants are funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD).  The Rural Payments Agency (RPA) manages the grants working with Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs).

Applications must be for projects in rural areas and grants are now available for the following:

Small-scale Tourism infrastructure – Rural business and rural communities, farmers and land owners can apply now – grants available from 27th July 2015.

Tourism co-operation – Businesses in rural areas.  Charities, public bodies, community groups and destination organisations operating in a rural area, again grants are available from 27th July 2015.
